Power Transmission Chains

HomeProductsPower Transmission Chains

Ever-Power silent chain power transmission drives are capable of transmitting power with low noise, high efficiency, and reduced vibration. Speeds and loads often exceed the capability of other belts and chains. Almost all Ever-Power silent power transmission chains utilize efficient, quiet, two-pin roller bearing joints, technology which has been shown to outperform conventional, round pin joints. These chains can be found in a wide variety of demanding industrial and automotive applications.

Ever-Power’s RPV line of chain and sprockets redefines high performance for inverted tooth chains. Capable of speeds in excess of 7,000 feet/min and loads of 3,000 HP, RPV offers significantly improved performance over all ASME Standard Chains. In fact, RPV has been specifically developed to meet or exceed the capacity of all other high performance chains, and is fully interchangeable with Morse HV™ type chain.

RamPower is high performance power transmission drive chain available exclusively through Ever-Power. RamPower chains offer 2x the horsepower capacity of standard “SC” chains and are fully compatible with sprockets using the ASME standard tooth profile. Rampower is available in 3/8″, 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″, 1″ & 1-1/2″, and 2” pitch.

Ever-Power SC chains, utilizing ASME Standard tooth profiles and dimensions, are the most commonly used silent chains for industrial applications. The patented Ever-Power roller bearing joint is used in 3/8″, 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″, 1″ & 1-1/2″ pitch. A single round pin joint is used in 3/16″ pitch chain.

Duplex Chain is designed for serpentine drives where sprockets are driven from both sides of the chain. Ever-Power manufactures three different series of duplex chain:

* SC Duplex
* Rampower Duplex
* Ramflex

Ever-Power 3/16″ pitch chain is manufactured to ASME standard dimensions and will operate on standard sprockets. Chains and sprockets are available in hardened carbon steel or 304 stainless steel.

Many chains can be customized for the special needs of a given application. This may include building the chain to the exact width and length required or adding special attachment links.

Silent chain drives when compared to belt chain drives, roller chain drives, and gear drives offer many advantages.
